Upcoming 2024-2025 Tryouts
This year's tryouts will be held for an entire month! We ask that the athletes come to as many sessions as possible. We are capping sessions at 25 athletes per. If we need to add more, we will! You will have to sign up through our Tryout Link and reserve your spot! Walk-Ins will not be allowed this year.
14-18 year olds Tryout Fee $100
Sessions: July 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th, & 26th 6:30-8:30PM
10-13 year olds Tryout Fee $50
Sessions: July 14th & 21st 4-6PM // July 15th & 22nd 6-8PM
Teams this year!
National Teams: Price Range --> $4000-45000
Season Range: December-End of June
Price does include 2 team travel tournaments (not airfare) and uniform package. Tournaments will include: KIVA Bluegrass, MEQ, Flying Qualifier, JVA Worlds, JVA SummerFest, AAU Nationals, and USAV Nationals. Practices will be 2-3 times a week.
Commitment Fee will be $1000 and due on August 1st.
Elite Teams: Price Range --> $1800-$2300
Season Range: December to End of April/First of May
Price includes uniform package. Tournaments will include K2 Wilderness, KIVA Bluegrass, 2 NERVE Tournaments, & Peak Challenge. Practices will be 2-3 times a week.
Commitment Fee will be $800 and due on August 1st.
Local Teams: (only 10-12 year old age groups) ---> $650-800
Season Range: December- End of March
Price will include uniform package. Tournaments will include K2 Madness, 2 -- ODR 1 Day Tournaments (RVJ will host), and Charlotte JVA. Practices will be 1-2 days a week.
Commitment Fee will be $300 and due August 1st.

River Valley Juniors is dedicated to giving girls in the New River Valley and beyond with a passion for volleyball a chance to excel and play at the next level. Our staff is made up of motivated coaches with experience both in teaching fundamental skills and helping our youth prepare for the rigors of college athletics. Our teams offer a highly competitive atmosphere and 14-18 year old age group teams travel regularly to compete against high-level national opponents.

As members of USAV, AAU, & the JVA, all of RVJ's coaches are at a minimum USAV IMPACT certified, have completed AAU's Positive Coaching Alliance training (PCA), and the United States Olympic Committee's SafeSport child safety program. Additionally, each coach is cleared through background screening from each of those governing bodies.
